My son happened to find your website about your school and your proposed reunion. It was of great interest to me because Freddy Sleckman, the director of the show, was my father and Kay Monahan, choreographer, was my aunt.
Those show productions were a family affair for us. My mother was in charge of costumes and I might even have been there working backstage. It was a real treat to read the list of musical numbers included, in spite of the fact that the names of the participants were unfamiliar. It brought back many fond memories of productions my dad directed in Essex and Hudson counties and in churches in Newark, Bound Brook, Irvington and all over central Jersey. My only regret was that I was unable to find the year of the production. I'm guessing early 1950's.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Hope you have a wonderful reunion.

That particular show was 1956; the cover of the program is >here<.
But we believe the show ran for a few years rather than just once. We'd like to post your message on the website, Jeanne.

Please feel free to post my message and if there is anything else I might be able to contribute I'd love to. I'll bet there was more than just one show. Most places he went to not only made money, but they found that the youngsters who participated benefited in many ways so they tended to have us back annually. Incidentally, in what town was your school? I can't tell you how this has given my day a real lift. Thanks for responding. Jeanne S. Wilhelms
