I can remember mine, but there were a few changes between my year and yours, Vito. I had:
K - Miss Mullins
1 - Sister Marion
2 - Mrs. Ward
3 - Sister Patricia
4 - Sister Inez
5 - Sister Michael
6 - Sister Therese
7 - Sister Rita
8 - Sister Jean
I think 3rd grade had changed to Sister Anna Rose by your time? And maybe 5th had changed to Sister Margaret Helen?

That's the way it was back then Patty. Our parents sided with the teachers/Nuns especially. Honestly, I still remember being told as I started K-garten to remember to watch my P's and Q's; if I dare needed to be talked to by a teacher, I would get it twice as hard when I got home. I know I was no Angel and had plenty of the devil in me, but Lord...a kid going to Kindergarten. My parents didn't believe us until my sister developed major GI problems in 7th grade.

Does anyone else remember the "spanking machine" in the office? I think it was the big old printer but I was told it was the scary thing. Maybe it was just my brother Tom trying to scare me.. It worked

I was warned of the same merciless device by my sister and the older kids. They always told you of some fictional kid who was its victim. I've seen the idea mentioned in comic strips a couple of times over the years, so I think it was a common childhood terror :-)

I just saw on the OLAS website that Sr. Irene Mongrandi (formerly Sr. Marcella Marie passed away on January 31, 2011 at the age of 89. I believe I she was my teacher in 6th grade.

Hello Vito and Kathleen!
Actually we had Sister Marcella in 1st and 4th. 2nd was Mrs. Burns (not sure of spelling) How did you miss that one Kath? lol Anyway Sr. Ana Rose was 3rd, Margaret Helen 5th, Sixth began with Sr. Therese (trayz) and we credited ourselves with giving her a nervous breakdown (we were not really that bad lol) then we had Father Glenn most of the time after that although father Horgan filled in sometimes. Sr Rita in 7th and You guys had Sr. John I guess in 8th. Of course the wonderful Mrs. McGrath in Kindergarten.
I can't tell you how great it is to see all of your names here and the fond memories they evoke. Where is the rest of the Class?
