Sr. Anne Roberta Scott, who taught 6th grade at OLAS circa 1947, died this day (25 January 2006). She was semi-retiried, and had lived in the convent at St. Peter Parish in Belleville, N J. She kept in close contact with a number of the members of the Class of '49 and will be dearly missed. Et dorminunt in somno pacis, Sr Anne! |

Sr. Anne was 88 and had a heart attack. I'm told that it was as quick as it was final. So suffering was not an issue. Sr. Anne was our Class of 1949's 6th-grade teacher, a real gem. We included her over the years in many of our celebrations. She remained at OLAS through 1952 and was resident at St. Peter convent in Belleville since 1968, and although she officially retired in 1986, she was still quite active teaching CCD. Her funeral is Saturday 28 January from St. Peter Church.

Sister Anne Roberta Scott was one of my favorite teachers at Our Lady of All Souls. We stayed in touch throughout the years.
God bless Sr. Anne.
