Why is Ford pursuing magnesium metal for next generation cars and not scandium-aluminium alloy frames and body parts?

Why doesn't Ford use scandium aluminium ? Mr Gillies, as the owner of a nickel laterite scandium deposit, you know the answer. Cost. Mg is $ 2 or so a kg. Just the 0.2 % Sc in scandium aluminium costs $ 4 per kg all on its own. You sell me your scandium at $ 10 a kg, and I'll get one of the car makers ( perhaps not Ford ) to use it.
