Scratches in Black Refrigerator

2001

We recently bought a black refrigerator and it got some scratches. Can you please help me to find a product to get these scratches out?

Thanks in advance! Liz Guzman

Liz, I don't completely understand your question, but here's a possible solution. If the scratches are only into the black coating, you may find a black touch-up paint will fill and smooth the surface so the scratches are much less noticeable, anyway. You can find these small bottles, like nail polish comes in, at auto supply stores.

If the scratches are deep, into the metal, then you need to sand them smooth and use a black spray paint to recoat them. If this is necessary, then I would contact the manufacturer and see if they can give you the paint type, or a source for spray cans, like they probably use for touch-up on the appliance assembly line. Maybe they will even send you a free can, who knows!

Good Luck.
