LM6 Casting - Surface treatment finish

Q. Material is LM6 casting.

What are all recommended surface treatment finish for LM6 casting parts?.
Can you please suggest?.
Is it recommened for Zinc plate and Yellow passivated?

Hi, Babu.

While it is possible to zinc plate and yellow chromate such castings, it is also possible to leave them uncoated, or anodize them, or hardcoat them, or paint or powder coat them, or electroless nickel plate them, or electroplate them with any platable metal, or e-coat them, or chem-film them, etc. It's almost like asking for all recommended things you could have for dinner :-)

What are the castings used for and what are the exposure conditions? Thanks.
