Home plating
I am interested in trying one of those home plating kits. eBay has them. I've been dabbling in metal engraving building custom buckles and spurs where I could use it to make neat accents. Id also like to strip my blued .357 and have it nickel plated. Is the finish durable enough for these (holstering and unholstering a pistol, wearing a buckle every day) or would it wear quickly? Is it just basically a novelty finish? Could you actually triple plate with one of these? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
