Can you chrome a wood guitar body?

I am building a custom guitar and thought it would be one-of-a-kind if I could have the body chromed. I have heard that wood can be chromed but am not sure. I also have no idea of who or where something like this can be done or its possible cost.
The body is solid ash. Any help would be great!
