Media selection for centrifugal mass finishing

Dear Sirs / Gentlemen,

We are polishing EN31 product through Centrifugal machine and it takes up to 2 hrs of High abrasive polishing with deburring compound and 4 hrs of Low abrasive polishing with polishing compound.

Is there any other combination of media and compounds will help to reduce the cycle time.

Thanking you and looking forward to receive your reply at the earliest

Yours faithfully,

The way your question is stated is somewhat confusing as is the description of the media and process. There is not enough information to give you good advice. To get the best polished finish and smoothest finish, I normally recommend a dry organic media which does take long time cycles. If you are looking for a bright reflective finish, a wet burnish (no abrasives in media) process will product good results.
