Room preparation for chemical milling
July 15, 2009
I'm a new player in chemical milling. I work in a research center and we'll have the installations for Titanium vacuum melting and HIPing. I'd like to know :
1- Do we need to put a special paint on the wall in the room where the chemical milling will done ?
2- What do you do with the water used for rinsing. Can we neutralize it and dump it ?
3- For the acid bath, what is the service life ? can I just adjust the acid ratio when the bath is not giving me the result I want ? If I want to dump it, can I just neutralize it ?
You may find those question trivial, but I'm not a chemist, just a metallurgist ;)
