Suitable coating for stainless steel
Please suggest the suitable coating for stainless steel.

Hi, Shankar. My old friend Joe Mazia used to say that a good way to approach such a general question may be to suggest to yourself dipping the parts in chocolate. Chocolate offers some very moderate corrosion resistance, is completely non-toxic, it tastes good, it is very inexpensive, and most people are very familiar with its properties. Now if you think about your situation and figure out in which ways chocolate dipping is not going to be a good solution to the problem, you can then use the feedback to move closer to a more practical suggestion for your particular problem. Try it!
Also, please advise what the components are used for, what environment they see, and what grade of stainless steel they are. Thanks.
Regards,

Dear Shankar,
Your question is very General.
Why you need to do the plating on SS?
What is the application?
Why have you selected the SS?
