Seeking Fluidized Bed Paint Stripping
We have an intermittent need to have Paint Trays and fixtures stripped. In the past, the best method found was a Fluidized bed process that used abrasive and heat to burn off the paint. The primary parts are "trays" approximately 24" by 30" made of a steel tube frame and expanded mesh forming the tray surface, thickness is 3/4". Trays are loaded with Epoxy and Polyurethane Mil-Spec grade paint. Our experience with stripping methods is that chemical is too slow and requires a great deal of clean up; Burn off ovens tend to warp the trays, making them unusable. The fluidized bed left the trays flat and relatively clean. We would be interested in a vendor to strip the paint and possibly apply a phosphate or rust preventative coating. Volume of work would be batches of 100 trays, approximately every 3 to 6 months. We pay and arrange all shipping. Please respond with e-mail if you would like more information, or if you have a source to recommend.
