Discoloration of white powder coating in storage
I recently had approximately 45 parts powder coated white. After about 3 weeks I noticed that some (about 15 parts) began to get a yellowish tint to them. The entire part did not discolor, however, only in certain areas. The parts were in a secure area, stored at room temperature. Any idea of what would cause this?

You didn't say what type of powder? Polyester? Epoxy? Plastic? Nylon? PU?
We once had a problem with discolouration of white epoxy which though warned about not being suitable for external use was left in bright sun (such as we sometimes get in Scotland!)

I've never known powder to do this, were they inspected when you received them? I'll bet they were overcured and discolored at the coaters and it was missed at the incoming inspection.
