Candle wax stains on Granite Headstone

Since the company we bought the headstone from said there is nothing they can do, I am seeking out some self-help ideas. Someone left a wax candle burning on top of our parent's headstone...the container cracked spewing the hot wax all over the left top portion and streaming down the left face. The wax was there for approx. a week before it was discovered and it left the stone with a dark stain.

Hi, Dee. Scrape the wax off as thoroughly as possible with something relatively soft like a plastic putty knife. You can try a citrus product like "Goo Gone this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] ". If that doesn't do it, turpentine this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] (buy a small new can, old turpentine discolors). If that still doesn't do it, gasoline (but you know how hazardous that is!).
