Drying of Zinc Phosphate Sludge
Dear all,
I work in an automotive CKD assembly plant which is going to be closed down in six months time. Right now, we are trying to dispose all of our waste to prevent economic liability.
Since we have a zinc phosphate process, there is going to be phosphate sludge somewhere in the system. We have acquired (by rent) a sludge dryer machine for our wastewater treatment plant sludge and other paint sludge. However, we are not sure whether can we dry the sludge using pyrolysis.
Can anyone please help us in solving this?

Sludge dryers are intended for wastes that have already been filter pressed, Afif. Your first step is to filter the water out of that sludge; and then apply the sludge dryer to the filter cake. Good luck.
