Cyanide zinc brightener

why there are problems appear when I change type the brightener of cyanide zinc bath ?
problems as
1* lack of brightness ( both with low & high current )
2* poor adhesion

Hello, Amir. Your question is a little bit vague, but some brighteners will work better than others. Please get your brighteners from a company which provides service. Good luck.

thanks for your care about my question .... but I want to explain my experments to help me :
when making comparison between two different cynaide zinc brighteners there are some problems appear as lack of brightness & poor adhesion also the rate of brightener consuming is too high .....
I want to know ... why this happened & the treatment if possible ?

I am not sure if I understand where you are going with this, Amir, but I'll guess:
Nothing prevents a vendor from simply adding water to their brighteners. This allows them to sell it for less, but it increases the rate of consumption, of course. Reputable vendors have pulled their hair out over this situation for decades as plating shops buy the watery brand and try to figure out how to "tweak" it to make it work as well as their more expensive brand :-)

But if the cheaper guys left out the water, their brightener would cost as much or more than the good one. Good luck.

Further to what Mr Mooney said, you must know of wonderful products such as "levellers" used with some brighteners,
in India they are known to increase the level of the solution in the tank and not much else...

Also ours being a monsoon country, we do have this water feature cropping up very frequently, all attributed to natural causes or acts of God!
