PAINTING MY CELL PHONE

Hi, My name is Corey. I am trying to paint my cellphone just to make it personal (Treo 700). The paint is spraying on with tiny seed-like "dots." Does anyone know why this is happening, and how I might keep it from happening. Secondly, the Color is not very rich. How can I either remove the color/paint already on the plastic--or ensure that my paint completely covers the color of the plastic--not effecting the color of the finished product? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Any paint that is going to give you the resilience that you need will probably ruin the phone because it will have to be baked on or mixed with some nasty chemicals. I would guess that you can remove the paint thats on there by scraping it it your fingernail, it should eventually wear off as a cell phone is a high-traffic item.
