Zinc Anodizing for a Satin Gold Finish
2007
I am looking for a Satin Gold Finish for Zinc castings. The cosmetic requirement is for a "gold" colour and satin patina, but not necessarily using gold material.
I'm told an Anodic process available for Zinc that might yield this appearance (or is that a misnomer?) Our requirements are highly cosmetic and need to repeatable for a high-end consumer product.

Yes, there is such a thing as anodizing of zinc . . . but I don't think it's decorative or what you are looking for. How about brass plating?
