"Rust-Look" Spray Paint?
2006
Hello, I am a student in England in sixth form (A-level) and I enjoy cycling.
To make my bicycle less appealing to criminals I thought that if I painted it to look old and rusty they would see no point, or have less urge to vandalize or steel it due to the look of less value.
My sister would also be interested in this as she is at university and bicycle theft is apparently a big problem.
So. I was wondering if there is a metal paint that gives a "rust look". So my bicycle will be rust free and mechanically sound, but have a rust look.
Also I find rust quite aesthetically appealing! It does kind of look nice? Doesn't it?
If there isn't I could mix up an orange-red mixture and hammer effect varnish. Can you get hammer effect varnish? Any more ideas on any improvisations like this?
Thanks for your time,

you could try this,
not sure if it would damage the metal of your bike.
