Formula for fresh and salt water?

My name is Kenan and I'm doing a project on the USS Indianapolis for an advanced Science/Math class. I have looked everywhere on the internet for it, but haven't found anything.("It" is the scientific formulas for freshwater and saltwater.) Please help me.

You won't find one, because it doesn't exist. The concentrations and types of contaminants will vary from source to source. There is no "standard" answer.

I suggest you do it the old fashioned way. Go to the library and look up reference materials. Giving you a formula defeats the purpose of your assignment. It just teaches you that you do not need to learn how to gather information, that someone else will do it for you.

water is H2O and for salt water is NaCl (aq)

I think this is what you meant, I'm not sure tho

hope this is what you wanted ^_^

NaCl is the formula for only table salt there are many other salts such as potassium chloride (KCl). I mean I'm 14 and I know this I am disappointed with the lack on knowledge.
