Properties of Oxides, nitrides, carbides, etc.

I want to ask if there's any source where I can find out the properties of different oxides, nitrides and carbides, etc.

ASM International publishes a book entitled Coatings and Coating Processes for Metals[this on Amazon affil links]. Many of the coatings listed are nitrides, carbides, and oxides. I would suggest you start there.

or Amazon

(affil links)

There are no handbook values for the properties of PVD coatings. The properties of each coating can vary widely depending on deposition conditions. Do not rely on the bulk values given in handbooks.
