I can't speak to the longterm reliability of the finish -- you'd have to ask Alsa -- but it has been done. They have a set of photos of a "chrome" painted BMW.

I have experience with the product and to do an overall of a vehicle would be very expensive, The stuff is hundreds of dollars a pint. It is also difficult to paint for many shops. It requires for best application Alsa's specific painting equipment and that too is expensive. There are other options for a "stand out finish" and color is a better bet.
