Molybdenum disulfide is widely applied to wire as a lubricant, and I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to, or whether you have a reason to want to apply pure molybdenum metal. I don't believe that molybdenum can be electroplate from a conventional aqueous bath, but only from molten salts. Can you describe the application?

Swage Mo tubing onto Cu rod* and draw through successively smaller dies to desired size, with intermediate annealing as necessary. The core-to-total diameter ratio remains constant throughout the wire drawing.
*or preheat Mo tubing or pipe in vacuum, fill with molten Cu & cool.
