Plastic painting of automobile plastic parts

2006

Dear sir,
I want to know the painting process of automobile plastics painting, i.e., painted plastic used for motor bikes and cars.

I want to know from the paint mixing to total procedure complete i.e finished product.
any pre treatment required, what is the pot pressure, what type of baking require and temp. etc.

The parts need to be cleaned with a phosphate and surfactant solution. Many pretreatment suppliers will sell you the package with instructions on parameters for use.
The paint should be a 2K urethane and the paint company will give instructions on application, cure temperature and dwell time requirements.
