Phosphate and oil

Can you please explain me in detail the process of 'Phosphate and oil'.

Hello, Jayarajan. Phosphate and oil simply means to phosphate the part (probably zinc phosphate, maybe manganese phosphate), and then dip it in corrosion preventative oil. Letter 7605 will be a brief introduction. You can learn more in any of the books in our "must have" reading list, but if you will be engaging in this, you probably should obtain a book specifically about phosphating, such as "Phosphating of Metals" by Werner Rausch [this on Amazon or AbeBooks affil links].

If you are able to pose some highly specific questions, we can probably answer them, but it's obviously hard to summarize in detail a 300-page book in a paragraph or two :-)

You might ask a supplier to come in and see you about the subject, or arrange a visit to a shop that can offer you this service. Thanks, and good luck, and please get back to us with your specific questions.
