Info on Teflon Impregnated Hard Anodise

2006

Could someone help me? A customer has sent me a drawing of an aluminium part which requires a Finish: Teflon Impregnated Hard Anodise Black. I have not heard of it before and would like some info on it.
Would like to know want it is?
Is it just Teflon coat over Anodising?

Some say it's anodizing that has been impregnated with teflon. Others say that the pores in anodizing are so small that impregnating them with teflon is impossible, so it's a teflon coating. letter 1819 is a good start, but let your breakfast settle before going there as the subject is a bit contentious :-)
