Typical paint thickness tolerances

I am working on a research project that is seeking to improve the accuracy of paint spraying. We would like to know typical paint thickness tolerances in the automotive and aerospace industries.

Hello, the question better served might be what is the typical paint thickness of the paint types that are used in these industries, and what are the application methods. A lot of the information your asking for would probably be considered proprietary and you won't be obtain it.
