who can help explain the meaning of "double rubs" ? as I know ,it's a certain unit ;however, it's too unclear concept , I wonder to know the whole story !

Lawrence, the answer to your first questions is easy. A double rub in the solvent resistance test is the forward and back motion made with a cloth wet with the solvent specified, pressing against the painted surface.
