Why are we doing alkaline zinc plating?

Why we are doing green passivation in alkaline zinc plating instead of acid zinc plating?

As a broad generality, alkaline zinc offers better throwing power and covering power, Prabhu. But why am I lunching on a tuna fish sandwich instead of a chicken pot pie? Could be I don't have an oven, or my religion forbids eating meat today, or I swapped lunches with a coworker site unseen--you could keep guessing the rest of the day without making any progress. Everything has advantages and disadvantages, and no one can suggest what process is more appropriate for an unknown application; we could guess all day long. Please explain your situation and someone may be able to assure you if your process selection is appropriate or you should be rethinking it. Thanks.
