Surface treatment for CP grade 2 Titanium to improve scratch resistance

Ti (CP grade 2) can be prone to scratches, what surface treatment could be done to overcome that?

Doris,

Not enough information is included in your letter for anyone to reply. What is the end use of the part?

What portion of the part is scratching.

How bad is it scratching? IE: is this a mirror cosmetic surface?

There are a few options, but they depend on the use. Plasma sprays, Vapor depositions, chrome plating, electroless nickel, better lubrication, changing the mating surface, changing the loading and on and on.
