Reason for Sludge formation in Acid Tanks

-----

We have a continuous pickling line using HCL. From last one year we are facing the formation of green colour crystalline sludge in acid tanks. This results in choking of the pipe lines, pumps and filters resulting in breakdown of the line.
Please suggest the reason for sludge formation and the possible remedial solution.

It sounds like you may have a problem with soap being carried over into your acid tank. Check to see if your soap concentration is in check. Also make sure that you have a proper rinse cycle before the acid.
