What adheres paint to chrome?

Do you have a chemical that can be applied to chrome to make a 2-stage paint adhere to it.

Didn't the paint supply store that you bought the paint from suggest an etch primer? The best you can do if your not going to strip off the chrome is -
1) etch primer
2) grey primer
3) sealer
4) base coat
5) clear coat
The paint should stick if this part is not going to be used for anything except to look at. If the painted surface is going to be under any kind of stress(mechanical, environmental or otherwise), the paint will come off.
