Used trumpet has some kind of rusting under the keys
I think its rust or some type of reaction from acid? its moldy looking . Its not a lot. Is there anything I can do or purchase (I'm a poor college student who doesn't have rich parents) to change that appearance?

Moldy looking... green color? I presume your trumpet is brass, this is probably just a little corrosion. Use the search engine on this sight and you can find countless letters on how to clean up brass - they basically breakdown to using some lacquer remover followed by Brasso

or
Amazon [affil links] followed by re-applying the lacquer (although the last step can be skipped).
Good luck!
