Recipe to oxidize brass, copper and pewter
We are a shop producing light fittings (chandelier's and lamps).
I have heard there is a recipe for aging brass. (I realize I can buy a Brass aging solution) but for our purposes it would be more economical to make it ourselves. One of the staff used to age jewelry and knows that two of the ingredients are:
1. sulfur (rock form?)
2. Methylated Spirits
Would anyone know the remaining ingredients and how to make the solution?
Thank you

can be used too (25 gm potassium polysulfide/1 lit water solution,90 °C temp.,for best results brass must be copper plated))
Good luck!
