Zinc alloy plating vs Magnetism
I have a question. Does the zinc alloy plating affect magnetic and residual magnetic behavior of iron (for example, Fe, C 0.12%, P 0.045%, S 0.045%, Mn 0.6%)?
Thanks,

Well, the zinc coating will serve as an air gap. But it shouldn't affect the ferromagnetic properties of the base material. Even a hot dip coating should be below the A2 (magnetic transformation temp) for steels.
