Copper plating is not smooth but has texture

Hello.. I'm plating copper on the copper frame using copper cyanide. Sometimes, the plating become texturing type, reddish spotty or patchy type. Can someone help to explain this. Thanks

Dear Deen,
Try using Rochelle Copper or a Potassium Copper bath instead of an ordinary copper Cyanide bath. The Rochelle bath will will give you a brighter pinker finish instead of a brick red patchy finish you are getting now. Also keep temperature around 45 °C and maintain an optimum current density without using higher currents if not required.
