What is with the high Ni prices?
+++++
I was just curious to know if everyone else is getting slammed with these obserd nickel prices? A little longer than a year ago we were buying nickel anode chips(rounds) for slightly over $3.00 a pound now they are getting them for close to $9.00 a pound. Is everyone else haveing these problems or is anyone getting a good deal out there? We use on the average about 1500 lbs. or more a month.

Nickel prices are fixed internationally. So, most surely all buyers around the world are having the same time with its price. Let's blame the stronger-than-ever Chinese economy as most people do when they have no better answer.

Nickel prices have nearly doubled in the past 2 years, but this would not explain the sudden 3x spike you are suffering through. I would look for another source that won't bend you over so far
