SURSULF x TENIFER
Good day. May I know the difference between SURSULF and TENIFER PROCESS ?
Best regards,

They are both trade names for salt bath nitriding processes from different suppliers, Mr. Fernandes. Whether one is "better" than the other is something you would need to decide by talking to the suppliers and their customers. Considering the relative anonymity of internet postings, which tends to invite shills, and that this is a commercial site made possible by advertisers, we don't want to print testimonials claiming that one is better than the other.

I am interested to find out if the "Tenifer" process is available in the US under its own trade name. We have a customer drawing which specifies Tenifer. I am simply attempting to find a source for it or an equally approved process.

My understanding (but I claim no special insight into the situation) is that the Tenifer name is actually held by the firearm manufacturer Glock rather than by the supplier of the salt bath nitriding process, and cannot be used by anyone but Glock. I could be wrong.

Hi,
I'd like to know what would be the hardness on a 1045 steel submitted to a nitriding surface treatment with a 0,2 MM coat.
Is there any table or calculation method for other materials for future references?
