What happens if muriatic acid sit on tin for too long?
What happens if muriatic acid ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] sits on tin for too long? I'm doing a science project and I can't find anything on it! I went to every web site possible!

What grade are you in, Kara, and how long is too long? Also, tin is an element but sometimes people use the colloquial word "tin" to mean steel sheet metal, which is something entirely different than real tin. Please try to put this into context, as I don't understand where you are going with your question. But acids tend to dissolve metals if that's any help.
