How many hours does it take for zinc plating to rust?

How long can a standard zinc plated screw last in a salt water spray test before rusting?

That would depend on the thickness of the plate, the water temperature, chloride content of the water and presence of any other compounds in the water. The greatest effect will be how well the plating fared with the abuse of the screw during installation. In short, there is no answer.
