Iron phosphate conversion coatings models--school project

Can anyone help me find a simple model on how Iron phosphate conversion coatings build up on a substrate?

I am conducting a small class research project on the subject and have not been able to find any models in the literature. A simple model that includes dependence on time, temperature, etc. along with the assumptions made would be very helpful.

Thank you,

Hi Guillermo,

I suggest to get a copy of "Phosphating & Metal Pretreatment" [this on Amazon or AbeBooks affil links] by D.B. Freeman. It will have exactly what you are looking for. The book is out of print, but you may be able to find it in a university science library.

You could also try "Phosphating of Metals" [this on Amazon or AbeBooks affil links] by Werner Rausch.
