Pitting and Anodic corrosion in SS316 thin cylinders in marine environment
Dear Sir, We are facing Pitting Corrosion and Anodic Corrosion in SS316 cylinders with 6 mm and 8 mm wall thickness, which are deployed in sea for few months. Could you please suggest any cure. The nearest metal exposure to this component is Marine grade Aluminium 6061-T6. Though we are using sacrificing Zinc anodes we still face the same problem. hope to hear from you Gowtham

Dear Gowtham,
Please consider ANODIC PROTECTION instead of cathodic protection.
cheers
