Painting/coating steel chamber suitable for vacuum application
Q. Kindly explain the difference between epoxy painting and epoxy coating. We need to coat a steel chamber which will be under vacuum for long periods. Kindly suggest suitable coating/painting which will not peel off under vacuum.

A. If the chamber is going to be under vacuum most of the time, I would suggest that you do nothing to the interior. Painting the interior is just not a good idea. Paint holds moisture, making it harder to pull a good vacuum.
