Shot blasting causes edge chipping
Our problem starts when we use shot blasting for polishing heat treated stainless material; we use nitriding process treatment for this stainless material. We alway encounter chipping from the edge, I would like to ask "Is there any other option we can use to polish the edges of the treated material with out encountering chipping?"

Have you considered some kind of edge guard, guide, or fixture? This may cause a slight shadow effect or non-uniform appearance, but you didn't indicate that as a problem

Why don't try finer or softer media or even wet blasting.
Good luck
