Not getting nickel coverage on ABS

Hello everybody -- how interesting about electroplating.... I want to ask about the best conditions to plating ABS because I have a problem that some parts of the plating material are not covered with nickel.

First of two simultaneous responses --

Mr Ashraf,

There can be 20 reasons for your grief. Please state your operational details so we know what you do. Then it will be possible to suggest a remedy.

Second of two simultaneous responses --

You did not give a description of your plating cycle to enable to see what is wrong with your process. Anyhow, lack of plating is normally related to not enough etching or not enough activation between the palladium and the electroless nickel.

Dear Ashraf,

Covering of EN is a factor of

1-activation
2- acceleration
3-electroless

Plating condition etching is a factor of adhesion. Weak etching will result bad adhesion but it should be covered. So please check those 3 steps.
