Sensitive paint

I am a Maintenance Technician, and I would like to know if it is common to apply sensitive paint on refinery equipment that operates at high temperature. This paint has a responsibility of indicating possible problem with refractory failure inside.

Sorry, I don't understand. You want the paint to change color or something if the equipment gets too hot? I don't know of such paint, but there are adhesive stickers with color dots which do that.

I would like to know if is it common to apply sensitive paint on refinery equipment which operates at high temperature, that is, there is equipment that works at elevated temperature but have refractory inside in order to maintain lower the steel temperature. However, when we have problems with inside refractory, the temperature may increase and then the paint color change indicating that temperature has, indeed, increased. I use a type of paint that change its color when overheated, but this paint has helpful life around two years only. I need a paint or other device that have helpful life around six years.
