How to remove anodizing
I am in the process of polishing the frame of my 2003 GSX'r 600 and I am having a real hard time getting through the anodizing. aircraft striper and easy off have not been successful and I had to sand forever to get a small part done.

Stripping aluminum involves very dangerous chemicals so I don't think the average hobbyist should be attempting it. One drop of strong alkali in the eye, and you're blind.
But following the old saw that "a dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp one", what dissolves the anodized coating is the caustic content of the stripper. So a stronger caustic like Draino will be quicker. Remember that it dissolves aluminum, not just the anodized finish, so timing is important.
Is there a possibility that there is a clear coat on the frame that is resisting the oven cleaner ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] ?
