Protection of iron and steel in a marine environment
To perform a first hand investigation to compare the effectiveness of different protection used to coat a metal such as iron and prevent corrosion. I just need to plan the experiment to prove that. I am not quite sure about what sorts of equipments that I have to order. Does anyone who can help me? thanks a lot!

You haven't told us whether you are in elementary school or graduate school, Crystal, and it's hard to suggest an experiment appropriate for both. Assuming a marine environment is available to you, I'd suggest painting some cleaned scrap steel with three or four different types of paint (say 2-part epoxy, 2-part auto cleahcoat, interior house paint, and a made for metal paint like Rustoleum, and recording what happens. Good luck.
