The interior coating for EMT
What is the exactly material that is used for the interior coating for EMT (Electrical Metallic Tubing). And by which way it is coated on it? Anyone knows about the whole coating process?

I have seen heavy wall conduit plated a few times; but I don't specifically recall if those plating lines did EMT, so I don't know if it's different. Basically, the conduit was simply zinc electroplated. The post treatment may have included a water soluble wax or oil, but it can't be anything aggressive since the zinc plating would dissolve in either acid or alkali.

Thanks for the reply. I was told that interior zinc-galvanized EMT is an old technology. Now it's replaced by an organic coating to improve the smoothness for pulling the wires inside it. It could be the very expensive Teflon. But we can't use 100 percent of Teflon, too expensive. So if anybody knows about the formula of the interior coating for EMT on the market, please let me know. I appreciate that.
