Black steel purlins
I have come across the term "Black Steel" purlins often, and want to compare it against Galvanised purlins, and mild steel purlins. However I am not sure whether "Black steel" refers to a metal coating, base metal or whether it is simply a trade mark. Any ideas?

What I've found with a web search are two common materials. One, coated steel, and two, a brand name of fibreglass+graphite fishing rod. I would assume you're dealing with an anodized or painted product.
